This 1883 Argentina 50 Centavos (KM-28) is a beautifully preserved uncirculated silver coin. The obverse features a classic depiction of Liberty, portraying a left-facing profile wearing a traditional Phrygian cap with long, flowing hair. The reverse displays the detailed Argentine Coat of Arms within an oval shield, depicting two clasped hands holding a pike topped with a Phrygian cap, set against a backdrop of angled flags, a surrounding wreath, and crossed cannons at the base, all crowned by a radiant rising sun. Offering bright original luster and sharp strike details, this .900 fine silver piece is an excellent representation of late nineteenth-century South American coinage.
