The details behind your discovery

Terms & conditions. Collect with clarity.

A straightforward guide to buying, selling, and using our website. Find the details you need, from coin descriptions to Florida sales tax.

01

Orders & payment

Availability, pricing, and when your order is accepted

Orders are subject to availability and payment verification. An automated order receipt confirms that we received your order; acceptance occurs when we send your shipping confirmation or confirm that your order is ready for pickup.

If an item is unavailable or has a material pricing or description error before acceptance, we will contact you. We will request your agreement to any correction or cancel the affected item and promptly refund any payment collected for it.

Payment methods, applicable taxes, and delivery charges will be shown before you submit your order. Coin and precious-metal values can rise or fall; a purchase does not include a promise of future value or resale profit.

02

Coins, grading & authenticity

Certified coins, raw coins, images, and attribution

Listings identify whether an item is independently certified or offered raw. A stated third-party grade identifies the grading service’s assessment; a raw grade or attribution describes our opinion. Neither is a promise of a future grade, crossover, upgrade, or market value.

Listings state when a photograph is representative rather than an image of the exact item. Color and apparent toning may vary with lighting and display settings. Material condition issues, including cleaning, repairs, damage, or a “Details” designation, are disclosed when known.

Contact us if you believe an item is counterfeit or materially misdescribed. Those concerns will be reviewed separately from ordinary change-of-mind returns and any bullion final-sale restriction, subject to applicable law.

03

Returns, cancellations & bullion

The inspection period, return process, and product exceptions

Collectible coins: request a return within 7 calendar days after delivery and dispatch the authorized return within 7 calendar days after authorization. Return the same item in the condition received, with its original holder, certification label, and accompanying materials. Cleaning, alteration, or holder removal may make a discretionary return ineligible.

Bullion: items clearly identified as bullion final sale before purchase are ineligible for change-of-mind returns or cancellation after acceptance. This exception does not remove rights concerning counterfeit, incorrect, damaged, or materially misdescribed goods, or other remedies required by law.

Return costs and refunds: for eligible change-of-mind returns, we refund the item price and refundable tax, with no restocking fee. The buyer pays return shipping and appropriate insurance, and original delivery charges are not refunded except where required by law. For our error or a confirmed authenticity issue, we cover reasonable return costs and provide the applicable full refund.

After verifying eligibility, refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return. Contact us at (857) 294-7820 or through our contact page to request return instructions.

04

Shipping & delivery

Dispatch estimates, delivery issues, and delays

Delivery options, charges, and the expected dispatch period are disclosed before purchase. A dispatch estimate is different from a carrier’s delivery estimate. If we cannot ship within the applicable period, we will provide the required delay notice and the option to consent to a revised shipment date or receive a prompt refund.

If an order arrives damaged, appears tampered with, or does not arrive, contact us promptly and keep the packaging. We will assist with investigating the issue and any shipping claim. Any request for photographs or packaging will not limit rights provided by law.

05

Florida sales tax

Exemptions depend on the product and transaction

Qualifying bullion

Gold, silver, and platinum bullion is exempt from Florida sales and use tax regardless of price, effective August 1, 2025.

U.S. legal tender

Coins and currency that are legal tender of the United States are exempt.

Other coins & currency

The otherwise taxable coin-and-currency portion of a transaction must exceed $500 to qualify for the transaction exemption. Exactly $500 does not meet that threshold.

Florida legal tender

Gold and silver meeting all requirements of Florida Statute 215.986 receive separate treatment under the 2026 law. The designation does not cover every gold or silver collectible.

These exemptions are product-specific. Jewelry, supplies, palladium products, tokens, and other merchandise require their own tax classification. Tax on orders delivered outside Florida depends on the applicable destination rules.

Selling to Beantown

Ownership, evaluations, and required transaction information

Beantown buys coins, bullion, jewelry, and other collectible material. Visit our Sell My Collection page or contact us to discuss your items.

You must own the items or have authority to sell them. An offer may depend on our examination of authenticity, condition, metal content, and current market conditions. An informal purchase evaluation is not a formal appraisal for insurance, estate, or tax purposes.

We may request identity and ownership information and retain or report transaction details where required by law. Contact us for arrangements before mailing valuables. Any separate written purchase or consignment agreement will describe the terms of that transaction.

08

Disclaimers & customer rights

Website information and the rights attached to your purchase

General educational and market information is provided for informational use and may contain errors or become outdated. It is not a guarantee of investment performance or a substitute for advice specific to your circumstances.

Nothing in these terms overrides an express product description, an agreed authenticity remedy, or a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

09

Governing law & term updates

Applicable law and the terms for earlier orders

Florida law governs these terms, subject to applicable federal law and mandatory consumer protections.

Revisions to these terms will identify their effective date and apply prospectively. An earlier order remains subject to the terms agreed for that order unless a lawful change is agreed or required.
